Spicy character, violets, prunes, red berries, a touch of saline softness, straw hats, writer’s ink, tobacco, old eyes, dry grasslands, rhinoceros bushes, dirt roads, rusted tracks pocked with bullet holes, black-headed sheep, short-pants weather, sunstroke, and a long, lingering finish…

Semillon GD1 vineyards planted on decomposed granite and Table Mountain sandstone shale soils. Grapes were harvested by hand and transported in lug-boxes to the cellar. Harvesting conditions were good with vines yielding between 6,5 tonnes/ha.
